Here are the type of speedrun methods typically available for a game:
NMS (No Major Skips): This type of speedruning involves speedruning playing the game basically by playing it normally (i.e, you don't completely bypass major cutscenes by going out of bounds or by abusing glitches) This type of speedruning can be used in any game that has a defined ending, either by players or by the dev or devs
OOB (Out Of Bounds): This type of speedruning involves abusing glitches, bugs, or other things to get out of the general map/area to skip a significant amount of the game, usually by going out of bounds. This type of speedruning is typically only done in 3D games like Five Nights Freddy's: Security Breach or Poppy Playtime where you can actually use this to your advantage, however, it can be done in 2D games with similar bugs or glitches.
Unrestricted: This type of speedruning involves abusing glitches, bugs, or other things to skip a significant amount of the game, but unlike OOB speedruns, this is done anyway possible. This type of speedruning is done in any game where there are major glitches or bugs allowing you to skip a significant amount of the normal gameplay.
These are the types of speedruns you can do:
Any%: This type of Speedrun involves using the ending/outcome that allows you to finish the speedrun the least amount of time possible
100%: This type of Speedrun involves getting everything there is to get in the game. This includes things like collectibles, trophies, achievements, endings, items, etc.
