Hunter thought the apocalypse was a hoax so he went off on his own but got cornered by zombies. Winter got bit defending Hunter from the zombies and Hunter was forced to kill her to avoid anyone else getting hurt

Anyway that's not Hunter holding the gun that's Wolfe Hunter stepped in front of the gun to protect Winter, then proceeded to comfort Winter to calm her down and knowing what he had to do, stabbed her in the chest and witnessed her die in his arms... :)
I'm either gonna get an A on this or sent to the counselor's office we'll see which comes first
