Young Chester got his lazy eye later on in life, this made people make fun of him in school, calling him "googly eyed" or "Bugged eyed" ETC. Chester had tried to ask a girl out and was instantly shut down, mostly stemming from the fact of his lazy eye, which really stung him, and pushed the idea to himself that he really was an outcast. He later embraced it in life, saying they were googly eyes and that it added to his clown-like characteristics
