First off i want to say, happy new year!
I hope 2019 will be a great year for all of you.
2019, the year that Samuels Holy Quest’s first build will release…
Now, the past month, I’ve mostly been working on scripting the game’s dialogue and getting an outline of what events will happen when, as well as the general directions of each level and area. Good news : I’ve completely finished this flowchart outline thing, and will now work daily on scripting the game’s dialogue. And when that is done, progress will go really smoothly.
A lot of irl problems have been resolved, and I’ve started working on SHQ daily again, making a lot of progress every day.
Because of this though, progress on the game itself isn’t all that much, unfortunately.
I have however pretty much finished another cutscene (the one that serves as Samuels introduction) and another room.
The placeholder room I showed you all in the last devlog now looks like this.
Of course, it’s not final, and will see many improvements as the game progresses.
So yeah, not a whole ton of stuff that I can really show, but the game has taken shape really nicely and we’ve made some pretty nice progress.
Next Devlog will probably introduce one of SHQ’s main characters : Lucas, an aspiring adventurer and strong-willed hero - or does it only look like this is the case?
See you all next month!
