Hey peeps! I hope you're all surviving the summer (for us it's summer at least; if it's a different season for you then I hope you're enjoying your season) and are doing well.
Firstly, I'll keep this as short as possible but I got myself a gamepad so I was able to fix the controller problem because that bug has been a pain in the butt. Here's a changelog:
Added vibration support for controllers
Added sparks to the ripped wires on the 2nd floor
Added shadows to transparent objects (in this case the ripped wires)
Fixed inventory and pause buttons not working on controllers
Fixed timer stopping count after getting hurt
Fixed game not counting times when enemy spotted you
Dining room door will no longer clip through the wall
Very special thanks to a user called BoJustBo (on itch.io) for bringing light to some of these bugs!
Secondly, we started to slowly work on the full version and I wanted to share some screenshots:
While I usually keep stuff like this a secret, the reason why I wanted to show these screens is because this part of the project has been erased. I'm not sure why, but Unity seems to have rare problems from time-to-time where I will just lose all my files for whatever reason. While I can't recover the files, I can recreate them eventually. (I love Unity, but I'm not happy with losing files at a random 1% chance)
It took me 2 days to build this update, when it should take around 30 minutes at worst.
But anyway, this should be the final demo update as there is no more content I'll be adding to it; the rest is planned for the full version only, and we have some interesting new game mechanics to add which will make the game a lot more fun (even though it's supposed to be a survival horror).
I hope You enjoy the rest of the summer (or any season) and have a great day, reader!
