Upgrades people, upgrades! Welcome to the second devlog of the game! This log includes some minor systems that are mainly level stuff, as well as a test 1-1! I can't promise other logs will come out quicky, as its based on how fast I go but hell lets keep this train rollin! (all contents in this video in regards to the level design is bound to change!)
(TEST) 1-1!
As you can tell, I have a test 1-1 made and all ready for use! this test is mainly just to check the camera, enemies and how Mario feels in an actual level environment, also Mario has his physics back! He's no longer borrowing from Luigi. Along with this there are some other changes I made here too!
CHANGES
Here are what I've added / changed
Added Fire Balls to Fire Mario! - He can now burn his enemies to a crisp! they work as your standard fire balls do. 2 maximum
Super Jump! - Mario can now do a super jump when crouching for around 3 seconds! this is going to be locked behind Super Mario and up so small Mario unfortunately can't reach for the sky T^T
Pipes! - These were a pain to get right, but I managed to make a pipe system! they also work as standard pipes but can also be end of level triggers! they are also still WIP but are functional enough for showcase
Level Transition - Though I didn't show it whenever you die you head to a level transition room and retry the stage, the same is done for beating a level but in that case the level increases
Timer Changes! - The timer now (I think) counts down more like the one in smb2!
That is all that comes to my mind right now, but so far some decent progress! Up next are koopa troopas and some other enemies and I'll work on a demo build to see if any changes should be made. After that I'll make a demo for world 1! though most likely without the music for a bit due to me lacking that... It might just be default music for a while.
