Hi everyone, EleCyon here. As I've announced on the Super Cat Wars Discord server, the 2.0 update is going to be divided into snapshots.

The main reasoning for this move is that Super Cat Tales: PAWS is far from finished, and no release date is expected yet for this game. The game's assets are needed to create the new update to SCW (in the form of new tilesets and skins), and due to its long-time development, Super Cat Wars' next update may go on a long hiatus if we go the original way of releasing big updates that way.

So as an alternative, I've decided that releasing the update into smaller snapshots will be the main game plan for the upcoming update.

NOTES:

• Snapshots add new skins, tilesets, and even music, menu skins, and sound effects. Some features may take more time to be added than the others, especially from content added from newly-released games like Super Cat Tales: PAWS.

• Snapshots will not feature content upcoming from the second Story Mode: PAWS: Operation Monochrome. Said Story Mode alongside with its music will be included with the full release of 2.0.

• Some snapshots may contain leftovers and placeholder sprites, if you see things like question marks, they will be removed and replaced in the next snapshot or minor patches.

The first snapshot is set to release on January 7, 2023. This snapshot is called "2.0s1". The final version of the update (completed and not a snapshot) is referred to as SCW 2.0.
