Nerf has accompanied itself with other brands and even other games before, such as overwatch and fortnite. they've even tackled more adult properties like the walking dead. so I'm going to be looking at all of the TF2 primary weapons and seeing which ones would likely become nerf guns. when looking through these I'm putting two things into account. functionality and asthetics. the reason why I think they wouldn't just go with the stock weapons is because they are all dull, bland, and too realistic. the point of nerf guns is thet they're supposed to look bright, colorful, and cartoony. so let's take a look

starting with scout the most likely candidate is the soda popper. it my function a bit differently than it does in game. shooting both bullets at once instead of one at a time. the soda popper is the most colorful of scout's primaries. which isn't saying much but it's the best we got

for soldier I was originally going to go with the cow mangler, but it looks to complicated of a design and I struggle to see how it would function. instead well go with the ol brown and green liberty launcher. nerf has actually made rocket launchers before when they collabed with fortnite so it is entirely possible for them to do it again

for pyro I had to bend things a bit. the flamethrowers wouldn't translate well into nerf guns. the only one that might have a chance is the dragon's fury. so instead I went with the flare gun, as it has a simple design and already looks quite like a toy, so it wouldn't need too much adjusting

for demoman I went with the loose cannon. while not asl flashy as the others it is a pretty silly looking cannon. nerf has made grenade launchers before (again with fortnite) so it is entirely possible for this to happen again

for heavy I was split on the brass beast and the huo long heater. both of them would operate the same way and both have bright colors. I think the brass beast would be easier to design while the huo long heater would be more appealing to kids. so either or

for engineer I went with the rescue ranger, the pompson had similar problems to the cow mangler and the rest of the shotguns look kind of boring to kids. so the rescue ranger is the best bet

for medic I was a bit stumped. the syringe guns as a whole are already pretty cartoony as they are a made up weapon. I guess the blutsagger would be the most appealing, either that or the crossbow

sniper has the opposite problem as medic. all of medic's guns are sufficently cartoony but all of sniper's primaries are too realistic. the best one I can think of would be the awper hand.

finally for spy I went with the ambassador. it's not perfect but it's the most kid friendly looking gun of the five.

so there you have it, those are the 9 weapons that I think have the highest likleyhood of being made into nerf guns. let me know if you want me to make a part two on secondary weapons
