So, what's the holdup? Why is it taking so long to figure out the boss fight?


I know I stated my reason before, but i felt it necessary to make a post about this as to better clarify why I've been really creatively stuck on what's practically the finish line for this game's major content.

Anyway.... henry. will be the final boss. and he has a cool laser sword. Neat right?
Well, I thought so too, but there have been a strange amount of issues I've had when trying to think through how to make him work.

Now, it's worth mentioning that henry won't be a boss character like murderer; he's meant to operate on his own from the other characters (probably not having ambushes either). I have his basic concept down, that he's supposed to have a cool laser sword and travel through time to kill you. Sounds simple, I thought.

Well, here's the problem. This game... is kinda big. You practically have three different offices, 27 cameras, and 5 mechanisms to keep track of. Because of this, the game is better built around having a bunch of simple characters to better utilize all of the mechanics. So when you (I) have to condense almost all of said mechanics into a single character, things become... muddy. That's not to say he probably won't have any support, as I intend to include the face. but still.

Oh, and that's not even mentioning the tutorialization I have to worry about! This has always been a tricky thing to get right in fnaf fangames, because while certain characters can be summed up in "do this one thing when they attack", i need to clarify specifically how he functions in certain behaviors, all while making it digestible and easy to understand without overexplaining!! HGAAAAAAAH HELP MEEEEE

I hope that was decently insightful. I really want to eventually finish this (I even have my vending machine who previously helped me on TRTA to work on henry's animations), but as of now I just can't wrap my head on how to even try to tackle this beast.

who knows maybe me complaining about it here will cause me to instantaneously get the answer later

boss fight update: as of now i have completely and confidently figured out how i want it to play......... fuck yes

added a buncha buttons and tested out the current max mode. its probably possible but fuckkkkkkkk am i bad at it
