Hello ladies and gentlemen, Paul here.
I hate to say this but... I might have to put version 1.5 on hold for a few days. Around 7 o'clock yesterday something went wrong with my hard drive and I don't know why. It still works but... any time I try to get onto Windows explorer, the program hangs for a bit and when it starts loading it takes far too long. It goes in cycle every time. any time I click on something inside the window, it hangs for a bit, and it's taking a toll on me.
I don't know what to do because I'm becoming paranoid I'll lose everything on it if I'm not careful enough, including the files for AHaR and a lot of other things that are the upmost importance to me... I have a new hard drive on the way and once I get that sorted, I'll see if I can try to get everything off of my old one.
However... if by some horrible luck that I don't, I guess this is the end. It happened to me three years ago with another PC I have (which had the "pre-alpha"(?) AHaR stuff on it which is long gone now) and I'm not going to go through the trouble of starting from scratch again. I have luckily managed to get some of the source codes of the game onto an external hard drive during this time, including the one for version 1.5, but all I need to do now is get the sound files and images I've made/collected for the game onto it and it's going to take me a long time. because any time I try to copy something from my computer onto the external drive it takes far too long.
I don't know what to do from here. If I successfully recover what I have, I'll continue with version 1.5, and if I don't, I really mean I will probably cancel ALL further updates/installments of AHaR. I can't continue the game if I only have the source code but not the other files. In my eyes it doesn't really work like that....
But we will have to wait and see. Thank you for reading, I hope you understand. And again thank you for all the support you've given me, I appreciate it a lot. - paul
