If y'all have been following me for awhile, you probably know about my big debut Steam game, Vex Clock. Been working on it since February of 2022 actually! Got some good news about its development so buckle up.
Recently started doing some early playtesting for the game and so far... I found a lot of bugs and things I want to change and add, lol. BUT, the game itself, the foundation, gameplay, story, everything I'm actually quite satisfied with! Granted I'm still continuing to revise dialogue old and recent. But the story itself as a whole, thankfully, found no major problems with. One thing I deeply worry about during game development is having to backtrack and revise entire plots. I'm very much a perfectionist with my stories and if I feel like something falls flat, whether that be one part or the whole thing, I absolutely have to redo everything till I'm satisfied with it.
Overall, early play testing sessions have been very pleasant. Having had a chance to play through the whole thing has given me a bit of a confidence boost. Proud of what I've accomplished in three years! Expect a solid release date to soon be revealed late this month. During this time I've still got some important stuff to include in the final product, not to mention the Steam approval process got me shaken. Once everything is confirmed and done, I'll be making one last progress update post over on Steam.
Thank you for reading this big ol' post of mine. If you haven't yet, wishlist Vex Clock over on Steam if you're interested! It's not a horror game like my usual stuff, but I had a ton of fun doing something new. Who knew this game would turn from a fabled Trilogy Bundle 2 game to a massive standalone game that would release on Steam? Crazy how life works.
