Sonic Playground Version 0.1.0 has been released. Read the article to see the features of this release.


The first early release of Sonic Playground. Here are the features of this release:

- Made for Windows 64bit systems

- 2 playable characters: Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog (Press the M key to open the character select menu)

- Keyboard/Mouse and partial Xbox controller support.

- Sorry that there is no main menu.

- Some debug keys are included.

- Was originally developed with Unreal Engine 5.0 but was ported over to Unreal Engine 5.4 due to packaging issues on Unreal Engine 5.0.

For this build, it is recommended to have a graphics card that has at least 6GB of VRAM to run this game properly. I do plan to work on optimizing this game later by removing unneeded Unreal Engine plugins and remove unneeded assets.
