Sonic Skies: "Level Layouts that look familiar to... Sonic Before the Sequel!?"


What type of Sonic Fan-Game is this?
…No Seriously. What type of game even is this?

I mean, It’s not a bad one for sure, but is it actually a good platformer?

Well, let’s see… Sonic has 3 Moves that relate to his past, Knuckles has Two Moves unique to him, and Tails only has One Move. The level layouts are pretty unique, too. Nothing compared to “Sonic Mania PLUS”, of course. (I need that game.)

And the one thing that makes this game TRULY stand out from the others, are the designs of the Item Boxes and Enemies. They look strangely similar to the ones seen in the Game-Gear titles, which I’ve truly enjoyed. [BUT I’LL GET INTO THAT, TOMORROW. ;D]

In the meantime… please try out this game, because it gets a 7.5/10 outta me. Why? Because it’s a typical Sonic Fan-Game that once again takes the quirks and gimmicks from SEGA’s Current Golden Boy (AKA, “Sonic Mania PLUS”) and blends it all into an all-around generic Sonic Platformer.
