When Going to the Temple, They found Mephiles in the Way. Sonic and Knuckles were confused How Mephiles returned. But They began fighting with Him.

It Took minutes for Sonic, Chip and Knuckles defeat Mephiles. But With Sonic's Homing attack and Knuckles's punch, Knuckles punched Sonic's Homing attack which Made it Stronger and It Hit Mephiles in the Forehead, Throwing Him to the Other Side of the World.

After the Fight, They arrived at the Second Gaia Temple. Sonic placed the Second Emerald and The Second Continent of the Earth is back in.
