Spoilers!!! °×°
The back stories match
perfectly
Spy... Assassin... And a somewhat messy person, trying to do her best.
Twilight used to work for the military, and lost his family & friends to war, then got scouted to work as a spy.
Tachihara currently works as a double agent for the military. Since he lost his brother to the war, he's been seeking individuality, tired of being compared to him. He joins a gang, tries to rob a bank, then gets invited into the hunting dogs division.
Yor and Gin were both taught to be assassins from a young age, except here, Ryūnosuke is the one doing his best for Gin as the older sibling. Gin could possibly view Ryūnosuke as someone she needs to protect, due to his medical conditions, and such. It'd be hilarious to see her reaction to his secret occupation.
The personalities couldn't be more different, but it'd be so much more interesting to see operation strix happen with their unique mentalities. (Tachihara and his strange will to live iykwim)
Edit: I'm super invested in this au rn omg 💀
Ichiyou would be the type of child that needs someone to look after her 24/7, she couldn't take care of herself to save her life. Leave her to her own devices for a week, and you'd find an odorous troll. She'd be a hard-working child, always putting maximum effort into whatever she does, yet somehow never seizes to mess up. She has great admiration for her uncle 'Ryū', holding him in high regard for his cool and stoic demeanor, yet somewhat soft spot for her mother.
At first, Ichiyou would think her father to be somewhat lame compared to Gin. She'd love him all the same anyways, however, after witnessing him in his better moments, she finally agreed with herself that he wasn't that bad. She'd heavily admire his capability to lie, and once told Gin she hopes to become a great liar one day. (Gin now believes that Ichiyou wants to become an actress, and is trying to be supportive.)
Ichiyou believes her mother to be 'the prettiest most awesome mum ever.'. Outside of work, Gin is a gentle and tame soul, good at taking care of people due to her past of looking after Ryūnosuke. Gin would be literal crap at social interaction, such that when Tachihara approached her, it took her a while to actually
speak
with him properly instead of nodding and making noises of approval. She had zero idea what to say.
Gin is street and battle smart, capable of utilizing surroundings, and incorporating them into battle. Her academic knowledge is basic at best, the reason being her upbringing that lacked proper school education. She has insane adaptability and stealth, often leading those around her to forget her presence. Her code name would be the 'Silver of death', and she's notorious for her noteworthy work. She leaves no trace, and is infamous for her merciless work ethic. No one truly knows whether or not she truly exists, because no one has lived to tell the tale.
Ichiyou, albeit hardworking, has scores that are barely above average. Her only somewhat acceptable grades are that of her foreign language tests. She does end up punching the scion for acting like an entitled gremlin on her first day, but she regrets it later, and is genuinely sorry. She didn't mean to hurt him that bad. (I'm trying to stay in character, so in this situation, I suppose she didn't mean to hit him. She probably wanted to shut him up, and acted impulsively. Besides that, she's a kid, taken in by
Tachihara Michizou.
She was bound to pick up at least a little of his reckless nature.) Her attempts to befriend him continue after her tearful apology for operation strix to move along, however her friendship advances come off as strange, and/or off-putting at times. She has nothing against the scion, but attaining his friendship is EXHAUSTING. He's always surrounded by his status obsessed friends, and catching him alone is near damn impossible. Whenever she tries to converse with him about anything, his friends manage to put her down for the crime of breathing. (They do get the Ewen and Emile character development later on, don't hate them please- they're just kids) The scion is dismissive, and that sort of pisses Ichiyou off. His first impression of her was a terrifying memory, so he decided to give her the cold shoulder. He doesn't mind her at this point, but her constant approach towards him makes him doubt her motives.
At first, he thought she was just another golddigger, and for the first two weeks, she was marked as 'the clumsy-violent-blondie' in his brain. One too many situations after that made him brand her as 'the dumb Tachihara blondie'. He realized she wasn't after his money, she wasn't trying to please him, or suck up to him. She was just herself around him, and he found her randomness endearing, but would never admit it. He is still weirded out by her, so that helps his denial. Ichiyou knows about his dumb nicknames, (esper moment) and takes great offense to them. Looking on the bright side, at least he knows her enough to remember her name?... Staying positive is hard. School life is hard.
(I'm torn between making either Chūya the scion, or keeping him nameless. NOW HEAR ME OUT--- I've seen a bunch of people ship him with Ichiyou, which is, and I must admit, SO GOD-DAMNED CUTE. His personality and mentality would match Damian pretty well; Ewen and Emile could be Yuan and Shirase! Verlaine could be Demetrius, his dad could be Mori (I'm so unsure about this oneee TnT. And no, he's not pedophilic here, in case you were wondering), with Kouyo as his Melinda (We need him to get his looks from SOMEWHERE, right?? I don't ship her with Mori dw) On the other hand, keeping him nameless would lower the chances of controversy . I could make him super Chūya coded, but then again, that would take out the fun. Any suggestions??)
Ichiyou still deeply
despises
studying, due to her having Anya's backstory, but she has a little more tolerance to it. Michizō himself doesn't like studies either, so having to make a child agree to studying took 10 years off of his lifespan.
Speaking of which, "Tachihara Michizō", a professor at the local Ostanian sciences academy. He is a man that shall go down in history as the Westalis' greater spy, under the pseudonym 'Titanium' (I literally have no idea, this was the first thing that came to mind. I'll probably change it.). He was one of the war survivors, forced from an alarmingly young age to deal with the fact that he lost all of his friends, and family. His brother was sent out to the military, and never returned.
It's not that he didn't love his brother, in fact, he absolutely adored him, yet the issue was how terribly often he got compared to him. Shunzen was perfect, ×××× wasn't, big deal! ×××× was left to wander the rubble alone, until he was rescued by the aid teams that were in charge of taking in the survivors. He grew up with intense sadness, and hatred flooding his heart, both emotions directed towards the state of war. No child deserved what he went through; they deserve to laugh without worry, tears the farthest thing from their eyes. ×××× joined the military, feeling the need to contribute to the sought after peace between both countries.
