Hello space bubblesorting people out there!
As more or less promised.
Next time we read each other around here it will be about space stations. So it will.
We’ve been working on implementing those things during the last two weeks. Retrospectively that’s not even such a long time, isn’t it?
That is the consolidated result.
70 files changed with alltogether 17k added pieces of change.
To add space stations.
What do they do, these space stations?
They can transform resources. Simply put they work like normal planets.
With the exception that you can specify how much input they take.
In some levels you will get a list of space stations that the Universe Balancing Bureau will provide to you. They will come with input and output resource types preconfigured but you will decide how much input they will take.
The station logic had to be implemented and incorporated into the UI. Since you can edit the amount of input of a station, the UI had to be changed to allow for that. We’re still looking at options to make that more obvious.
I have highlighted the editable area with a red marker. In game it’s indistinguishable from a normal planet overlay.
So there’s still work to be done.
Also, as you will have noticed, that cube is not exactly a nice model for a space station. There is a pretty epic model already incoming to replace this box. And it’s going to be glorious.
Don’t wanna spoil the surprise just yet though.
Last but not least.
I have here a screenshot of the first days of development.
And here’s one from today (I actually took it this minute).
And thus I bid you good bye!
That’s it for today fellow space quicksorters!
As always, thanks for reading.
