Okay, so it's been a while since the game came out, and honestly... yeah, Jackie's my new favorite character. As in, the newest character we've gotten in the franchise that I really like (the other being Roxy, for example).

Her setup is pretty good. You're forced to let her out of the box, and it's obvious she's going to cause trouble in a bit. But even then, you don't know when that'll happen, and you're forced to go away and carry on.
We meet this cool guy. He's one of those types of robots in games that you just kind of ignore while they try to interact with you. He's clearly not sentient, and you'll probably wonder what the point is. Well, I'll say for now he's used for a great setup we're getting in a bit.

So we do the good old generater pull the game has taught us by now.

And immediately as we finish that, Jackie already proves to be a very cool character. She literally drags the box behind herself as she tries to enter.

The fact that it's basically implied she already started following us sometime after we entered this room is already so cool and scary. Yes, scary, I'll get to that later. The music and her broken voice lines are executed perfectly here. Some lines are a bit cheesy, but for the most part, this is really good.
But it gets even better! As she tries to enter, her box obviously gets stuck. When that happens, she immediately rips herself out of her box.

I love enemies or monsters that have very little to no self-preservation, and Jackie is very clearly one of those. The fact that she immediately rips herself out of the box, leaving her skirt with the rest of her box behind as she crawls towards you with wires sticking out, is incredibly well-executed.

Unfortunately, the other robot in the room with us thought that now was the perfect time to acknowledge what was happening around him and greet Jackie...

I'm going to try and give this scene the justice it deserves, but even then, I don't think I'll be able to describe how absolutely cool it is. Jackie turns almost immediately to the robot as it greets her, and without hesitation, she mauls the thing, literally throwing it through the wall. I mean, you saw it for yourself.
This was a great use for the robot, as he's used to show that Jackie is no joke. I don't find Secret of the Mimic scary; it's way too bright, and other than literal game over jumpscares, very little real horror is used. But this, this is honestly awesome. I wasn't actively scared or anything watching it, but I was blown away because that's some good horror shit.
I also love the detail of how Jackie awkwardly falls and hits the desk behind her as she throws the robot. That, combined with how she literally ripped herself off her box, clearly shows again that she is a creature that goes on instinct without much thought. No self-preservation at all.
Anyway, we run into the hole to escape Jackie made from throwing the robot so hard, and it collapses.

As we get up and walk around, it doesn't take long for Jackie to already be approaching from afar, as we see her making her way around the place to try and get to us.

We see this a couple of times, and as we enter an elevator, she finally manages to get to us, and one of the best chases in FNaF plays out. Period.

So you're probably thinking, "Wow Malos, that's a pretty big claim!" And yes, it is. So what makes this the best chase in FNaF we've ever gotten so far?
Instead of generic footsteps behind us as we run through empty hallways, Jackie interacts with the environment. As you can see in the images, she breaks stuff and sometimes tries to skip certain places, like in the last image, to get in front of us. We also constantly see her hands reach out and grab onto things to pull herself closer to us.
Again, just like with the animatronic mauling, this is some good stuff. I'll link a video in a bit, and I heavily suggest you watch it, because words cannot do this chase justice. It's one of the few times in Secret of the Mimic where things aren't overly bright, which allows Jackie to look a bit scary, unlike every other character.
After a few puzzles, we see Jackie approach from a hallway we were supposed to run to. However, I'm sure you can see how it goes...

We close the door on her, but Jackie gets caught in between. This is where I want to bring up the non-preservation aspect her character seems to have again. When we first saw her become active, Jackie became more and more damaged as time went on. She first literally ripped herself off her box, which is clearly something she isn't supposed to be detached from, given the wires. She then lost her eyes and got really dirty when she came out of the vent. Now, she's missing her nose and half of her face mask.
I honestly love it; she gets more and more terrifying as this goes on, and I'm all for it. Anyway, we use the time she gave us by trapping herself to run into a vent, which closes behind us.

of course however, as we continue on, Jackie manages to find us.

And with that, the chase is finally over. "Wow, that was actually really cool! I wonder what else Jackie will do in the game!" Agreed! And I have the answer to that question! Nothing... Yeah, as much as I love Jackie, unfortunately, Steel Wool managed to fumble her in the end.
After this whole setup, this whole sequence... we never see her again... Yup, it is never confirmed if she was destroyed, survived, or where on Earth she even is. We are basically supposed to ignore she exists now... And like, WHAT? NO, you can't just do that with a character you set up like that!
Some people have already complained about this, since Jackie is used extremely in the marketing.
But even then, Jackie just makes no sense... Even when you ignore the whole marketing thing... Jackie never showing up again makes no sense... It feels like something was cut, like story relevance or whatever. I seriously refuse to believe this was all she was supposed to have.
That giant Music Man thing comes back in the end all withered when we thought we weren't going to see it again. Why couldn't they have done that with Jackie in some other part of the game? If Jackie was the Mimic in disguise, and she was just one of the many disguises he used, then I'd feel different. You could just say he gave himself legs after that whole ordeal; it's a pretty fair argument, and also, we literally see the Mimic has upgraded itself in the Ruin DLC.
But no... Jackie seems to be her own character and therefore makes no sense. There is never a single hint she is the Mimic aside from the eyes... I guess?... maybe???... Unlike some, I have actual respect for Steel Wool, and it's not like this ruins the game, but how can you mess this up? I think the reason they used Jackie so much in the marketing is because she's at the very beginning of the game, which means very little will be spoiled, but that doesn't explain why we just forget about her in the end. I don't understand... if she IS the Mimic, there should've been a hint, a setup, something... ANYTHING... Oh well, can't wait for the cheeseburger DLC "Misinformation on Jackie" to explain this in great detail while also changing the lore a bit for no reason...
Anyway, overall, Jackie is still great. If you managed to read all of this somehow, go watch this guy's playthrough of Jackie's segment. Words cannot do justice to how well she was set up:
Credits to him since I took alot of screenshots from that video.
