i made a huge post on my main profile with more info so i'll be brief - due to the complications of porting a gms 1 game to gms 2 alongside personal issues i feel like the 2004 patch is in an indefinite state of limbo and will likely never see the light of day, so i'm opting to simply upload the updated version of treasure hunt as its own standalone release here, while releasing the unfinished 2004 patch update / sequel as its own page for those curious.
Ported to Gamemaker Studio 2 - much smoother framerate
Camera zooming made much slower
Reworked enemy collisions (porting the game completely broke enemy collisions so I had to rewrite how they work)
Slight overhaul to City of Heads' Nightwatch mechanic - changed the audio, and now the alarm lasts a set amount of time instead of lasting the same amount of time as the active/inactive switch. The nightwatch enemies themselves have also been given a slight visual overhaul to make them fit in a bit more thematically
Removed some of the hazard spam in Inner Sanctum to make it possible to go through damageless
Complete overhaul of final boss
Complete overhaul of ending cutscene
i am sorry if this is a bit disappointing, i do hope that the public release of 2004 patch's unfinished state will at the very least give a bit of closure so you all aren't missing out on much
