SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSo. Another Devlog!
Been busy the last two weeks, working, for the most part.
Shop
The Shop is a very important part of the game, since you buy items for healing, stat boosting and upgrading there.
For now, the shop is separated into two parts (A third part is actually in thinking, more on that later)
The first part is the "Items" section. From here, like the name implies, you can buy items. In the future, you will be able to buy items such as: Stat Boosters, Healing Items and more!
There's not much to show for now. I've only got the Health Kit and the Bag o' Bombs inplemented. Both have pretty obvious names, so I don't think I have to explain what they do.
The second part is the "Upgrade" section. I haven't begun work on it yet, but the plan is that you can use the upgrade points, that you get when you level up, to upgrade your sword and shield and maybe other items.
The third part I am still thinking about is the "Sell" part. Like the name says, you will also be able to sell you items in the shop. This probably won't be implemented though, since there aren't any items that you'd need to sell. Although I could have random junk items laying around, that you could sell to get some extra cash. Then again... Getting money isn't really hard in the game. eh, I'll think about a clever way to implement it.
Here's a screenshot of what the shop will look like. UI and Layout are subject to change.
When I finally have the shop done and all the items added to work on the battle screen and in-game in gerneral, those features will be finished. So I can focus on the actual gameplay, story and quests.
I will use next month to continue work on Fighter of Eve rather than switching over to forest.end, so I will have more time to work on these features.
Inventory
Pretty short subject, the inventory. You will have a total of 10 inventory slots available to you. Two of those are ALWAYS used by the sword and shield. There won't be that many items it find, so I think 8 useable slots is enough. It's enough for some healing items and some quest items. Plus, every items get stacked up to 999, so I really don't think space would be problem. IF I change my mind, which often is the case, I will probably add a backpack, which you can buy at the shop, for more inventory space.Again, this is not the final layout and ui. It might change later
Additions to the Battle Screen
I've made the Heal Button open a menu where you can select your healing items of choice from the inventory instead of healing you instandly. This is the case because there will be more than one healing items in the future.
Again, again, this is not the final design. It might change later on.
So, that's it! Last two weeks worth of work. As always, let me know what you think, what you'd like changed or what you'd like to be added. I'm always open for recommendations!
