SpringTrap's Mechanics

-Read Article-


First of all, I will state that coming up with something completely different and new Isn't simple, I have been changing the gameplay since I first started this project (which I started almost a year ago).

Any way without further explanations, here are the Mechanics of Springtrap:


How will the player face Springtrap?

  • In the game as you progress trough, you will find a lot of usefull tools, the main and most important one will be your Camera, when being chased by Springtrap, You will be able to flash your camera thowards him, causing Springtrap to enter a state in which he will pose for pictures. To make it more clear, Springtrap will have a light reflective sensor which will activate the actual animatronic, making it your window of opportunitie to scape.

    In game, you might come across to the power going down, If you dont use your flashlight batteries wisely, your last resort will be to use your camera.

    (This will also draw Springtrap's attention because of the sound the flash produces)

  • Other ways to avoid Springtrap will be by hiding In lockers, under desks, etc. that will be located around the map, not to mention that you will also be able to distract him with the audio system around the map (playing sounds and so on).

  • One last way to avoid getting caught by Springtrap will be moving to certain rooms trough the actual vent system, although you will make a tremendous ammount of noise and even... you might find springtrap in there. But when its about you being chased by him, it will be almost impossible for him to move as fast as the player can in the vents.


There will be a ton of information as I progress in the actual game. A posible and left behind idea to avoid Springtrap, was that If the player stands still with no object in hand, there could be a 35% probability that springtrap dont spots you, following to the action of him just pass by you... (the other 65% will be him chasing you :P).


Its a work in progress but It will be a thing...

Im working in the map! It will be huge, not to mention there will be more characters besides springtrap, so the size of the map will not affect the action :o... Anyways, there's much that has to be done
