Welcome back to another Square Legacy news update! Today we take a look at the first images and details of snapshot 4.
First off, let’s start with the brand new Artificer and Crafting Station:
And the crafting station GUI specifically:
Here’s the breakdown of the artificer: Artificers are Siphons that haven’t completely lost control over themselves to the void, but they do get some Siphon powers. For instance, they can take raw Nether material and turn them into useful items for you to craft with. Eventually, your artificer will level up based on how many times you use it and, in turn, give you better items for everything you bring to them.
As for crafting, it’s pretty simple, just click on the item you want to make, with everything you need to make it in your inventory, and just like that, you’re done!
Last update we revealed anvils, since then, we’ve decided to combine the enchantment table and the anvil into one thing called the enchantment array. Some items that you craft, buy, and pickup have random stats applied to them, but if you aren’t happy with what you got, you can use the enchantment array to make their base stats better, and even have it apply passive effects to the item. If you just really aren’t happy with it, you can also take a gamble and completely re-roll the stats it came with. We would have loved to show images of the enchantment array, but we had to do a lot of setup for it, so in its current state there’s not much to see. Also note, it may not have all of its features completed by the release of the snapshot, but we will try our best to either finish it completely, or get most of it done!
Finally, we’ve made several inventory tweaks, one of them allows for us to put your inventory side by side a vendor’s inventory, which makes it a lot easier to buy and sell
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the article everyone, we really do appreciate it!
Note: Nothing shown here is final or released to the public, however, it is set to release on 7/17/15.
