A new version (#9) of Star Commander has been released, with the overall goal of making the game more complete and polished by adding several features that were missing from previous versions. For those who haven’t heard of Star Commander, it’s a turn-based 4x strategy game set in space, completely free to download and play with no ads or in-game purchases. Please give the new version a try and leave comments; we hope you enjoy your time conquering galaxies!

The complete list of changes for this version includes:
Games can now be created in a “Hardcore” mode that restricts saving to prevent any game event from being undone
Added more animations for the end of game sequence, along with a postgame interface showing historical statistics
Increased mass values for the Antimatter Bomb and Xi Torpedo systems
Drones, Assemblers, and Sentinel cannons no longer act again sooner if they end their turns with unspent movement or action points
Fixed some bugs preventing the Hacking Probe from working correctly
Fixed a bug with updating ship stats after it sustains combat damage
Fixed several UI issues
Fixed several AI bugs
