I'm also going to do something I've never done before as a test to see if it's worth doing again in the future: "Public Gameplay Feedback."
I'm going to straight-up describe the gameplay to see what people think, and then that's that. If it gets overly hated, I'll try to fix it; if it's accepted, I'll leave it as is. Try not to be overly critical—just give me an honest "it's pretty good" or a "could use some work, specifically on X."
Gameplay and Mechanics
Your office has only one vent this time unlike the original, and the vent on the right has a button that lets you close seal it.
You have a monitor to view the cameras in the building; there are four in total:
Stage Cam
Diner Cam
Closet Cam
Hallway Cam (leading to your vent)
There is a button on the monitor that says “CUT POWER.” You are supposed to click it when you think you’ve found the real Golden Freddy.
When you close the vent door or cut the power, the screen goes black with a scary stinger to build tension while you wait to see if you found the real Freddy. If you got the right one, you reach 6 AM; if not, you get a jumpscare.
Golden Freddy will be on ALL cams, however the real Golden Freddy will randomly pick a place to be "real" each night. You can tell something is off by paying close attention to the Environmental Changes:
Sometimes things will change, like a table falling over in the diner, a small patch of blood appearing, or a missing person poster showing up.
If nothing seems wrong on the cameras, it means he is in the vent and you must close that instead. You have roughly three minutes to find the real Golden Freddy; if you run out of time, the building automatically cuts the power off and you'll lose.
And so, there’s that. I am completely aware this game will probably be extremely short (I’m only giving it five nights, and I literally cannot design a Custom Night even if I wanted to—which I don’t). However, I’d rather have a unique, short and memorable experience than a super long, dragged-out one where you just put on a mask for ten nights or something.
While it might feel like I just spoiled the game for you, don’t worry! I haven't revealed the story yet. I wrote a short but pretty unique narrative for this game. It’s nothing crazy, so I don’t want to hype it up too much since it's only really told via phonecalls, but it’s a story I’m proud of. So you can look forward to that! and um... yeah feel free to tell me what you think! that's all I have for now... bye!
