You’ve fallen.
You don’t know how far the descent was, or if your friends even noticed that you’re gone.
Were they even your friends? Was there anyone… there at all?
You lay in silence, you’re body is okay, somehow, and miraculously, you feel no pain, no emotions at all.
Not fear, not sadness, not confusion, just emptiness. It’s almost… comforting in a way.
Then you see it, slithering across the floor, a snake, or perhaps a worm? You can’t tell in the overwhelming darkness, the only lighting coming from a hole in the roof which you suppose is what brought you to this void.
Nothing else is moving except for that… “thing”.
It’s coming closer, you want to move, but you feel like this is… perhaps meant to happen. Perhaps this creature was destined to find you, as you were destined to eventually fall down into this place.
You watch it with cold, dead eyes, staring as it works it’s small, slightly gleaming body onto your leg, it continues to travel across your body until it reaches your neck, you can no longer see the creature, but you can feel it.
Slowly climbing your neck, leaving behind a cold secretion which soaks its long, skinny body. It reaches your mouth, from then it enters, and you welcome it inside of you.
You can feel it exploring your mouth like a second tongue before it slithers down your throat, disappearing, and with it, the emptiness disappears too.
You feel nothing, no textures upon your skin, no scents fill your nose, but one feeling emerges from the depths of your soul, as if it is the only thing that exists inside you.
Hunger.
You stand, one directive fills your mind, you don’t know where it came from, but you know that you must obey it any way you can.
“Feed.”
