Thanks to Valve's open-source advancements, it is now possible to install Steam Linux / SteamOS on the Switch's Tegra X1 chip. While games aren't fully playable yet, this proof of concept is a huge step forward and could be functional within six months. A potential second life for the console!

Just a small mistakeโitโs actually Ubuntu, which you can see running in gaming mode on this hacked Switch. Thanks to @SunBunnyXZ
