The Steamed Layer Cake, also known as Banh da lon (in Vietnamese), Khanom Chanh (in Thai/Lao) and Kuih Lapis (in Malaysian) is an Asian dessert found in both Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.

Unlike the other variations of the Steamed Layer Cake, the two of them are both Chinese Thousand layer bread-cake (from China) and the Thuvul Pancake (Thiruchandawiruttapangi in Kozhul) (from Ellarmandya), The other is Kozhul where the recipe has a vanilla and strawberry extract, sugar, three flours, water and the Evaporated milk was instead of Coconut milk.
