Millie Petals’ childhood was rough. When she was three, her parents divorced and she ended up staying with her father. By the time she was six, her father married someone new. Millie's step-mother had a bad temper, it felt like walking around eggshells, sometimes she would emotionally manipulate Millie to get her way, which would lead to problems like depression and low self-esteem.

Millie would discover the Sonic series, which she became attached to, where she would then meet her first friend, Kyle.

During her Highschool years she would get into game development, wanting to make a Sonic fangame with Amy Rose as the main character.

When she was nineteen, she was a part of a friend group, featuring Kyle, Tom, Sarah, and Jack. They would help Millie with her game, like mechanics and suggestions. Millie would move into Kyle’s apartment, trying to get away from her parents, after an incident at her house.

Millie and her friends were at the lake, celebrating Millie’s transition to a girl, everything was going great, that was until they messed around with Millie, playfully pushing her into the lake, she was caught off guard, as she sank into the depths, her friends were frozen in fear, they tried to save her but it was useless. 

The next day, Kyle convinced the group to cover it up, going to the police to report her as “missing.”

A few years go by, Kyle’s friends began to distance themselves, with the only exception being Tom.

Kyle’s guilt slowly getting to him. One day when Kyle got home from work, he logs into his computer to find a zip file, the file being labeled,

“Roses.”
