STUFF REGARDING 1.2

Yes it's finally here FOR REAL it's not dead and you can play it and download it HOORAY YAHOO!

1.2 went through a pretty diligent playtesting process - lasting like a week each time through each of its different builds over the past year - despite this though the amount of playtesters I have is quite limited and there will likely be some bugs present. While 1.2 is the last major update for the game, I will still patch out bugs should they crop up, so don't forget to report anything serious. The debug mode is still included, and you can access it by pressing F1 (it'll show you hitboxes, room names, enemy pathfinding and more info) if you need to replicate a bug or something

The OST will drop later this week, as well as HD cutscenes on Youtube, but I'm gonna wait a while to let everyone digest the update before I drop all the surprises everywhere for everyone to get spoiled on.

Regarding the future, I don't know. CTI is done, this is the final content drop, and even if I wanted to continue making content for it, I feel like I've done absolutely everything possible with the concept. I'm not done with gamedev as a whole though, I don't think I'll ever stop, but regardless I do want to take a step back from gamedev for a while to readjust, focus more on making comics and whatnot. If you were planning on subbing to the Patreon or something, just like keep that in mind cuz it'll likely be a while before I'm ready to start another super ambitious game project, and if I do it'll likely be something OC related instead of a fangame. I wanna steer away from doing fangames for the most part. Not gonna abandon my weird counterculture style towards design and all that though so if you got into CTI for that then you won't be disappointed.

Regarding modding I feel like implementing more accessible modding tools would've deadass put another year on the game's development time so I had to abandon that idea (as well as player skins because they were redundant and kind of sloppy). That being said a lot of the game's mechanics were rewritten to function more consistently and a lot of things added to make the Hard campaign work are very accessible for anyone who wants to mod the game. I do know the market for modding my stupid tf2 fangame for babies is, like, niche and basically nonexistent, but regardless I did try to make it a little more streamlined for people who want to add stuff.

Also because people keep begging for it, I would like to publicly state that there will not be a mobile port. For starters that would mean buying a license to export projects for android devices, which is money I can't afford to waste, to make a port of a fangame to put on the app store, which I'm very much not comfortable with - not to mention the fact that I don't know how to program for mobile games or how I'd rewrite the game's controls to work on a touchscreen. There's someone on youtube doing a mobile port though so if you were really dying to play my garbage on the bus or whatever then you should go check that out.
