Hello everyone! Welcome to our first seasonal developer log on GameJolt for Undertale Green: The Pre-Show! Hopefully there won't be too many more.
First of all, we hope you all are having a great summer!
The season has generally been a pretty hectic time for us developers, what with all the parties (full-time jobs) we've been going to. However, as you'd hope, we've still been working quite hard on the game and have some serious progress to report back on.

Around 80% of the game's dialogue has been completed! Obviously all of that is subject to change, but as it stands we're pretty happy with what we have. Almost all of our attention in this area has been turned towards the end of the game, which we will not be keeping you too updated on for fairly obvious reasons. Just know it's going well, and we expect to be finished with the writing process shortly!

This is one of the areas we're most excited about. Our music team is around 70% done with the game's OST, and we wish we could just share them all with you right now. Music has become one of the stronger points of the game, and we cannot wait to upload the finished soundtrack. Seriously. We might be uploading a new song soon.

As of right now, around 60% of the game's art has been completed. Maybe more. Or less. It's complicated. We keep having new ideas and revising old sprites, so it's a bit hard to tell. Although this is a pretty nebulous area, what we can tell you is that almost all of the rooms have been completed for the game. In fact, we have a room to show off right here!

We estimate about 30% of the game's coding is done. This seems like a pretty small figure, but worry not! The first 30% will by far be the hardest. We've been working at building all the foundational systems such as battles, interactions, and cutscenes, and we now have a finished instance of each. Look forward to more updates on this, as we are now shifting our focus entirely towards making battles and stitching everything together.

Finally, we are proud to announce that we have set a hard internal deadline for release. We can't tell you exactly when that is as of right now, but if we could you would probably be pretty happy about the timeframe. More updates will be rolling out as more progress is made, so stay tuned...
