'Sup homies!


Friends, Wobells, Valkyries…
It has been many years now since Tales of Wobells first appeared on Game Jolt. For much of this time, it has been at version 1.21. Some might say that this is the final, definitive version of this forgotten classic of the 16-bit era that 2008 certainly wasn’t.

But lo! There is… another! Version 1.3 has been skulking in the ruins, flitting between the shadows and generally doing a great job of not being available for the better part of five years now. Soon, all that will change. This upcoming standalone download brings big balance changes, a new dungeon, many more goodies to find and the obligatory obscure references.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Horror WIP A track that will be featured in a future horror game soundtrack! Stay tuned!
