Super Mario Odyssey 2D: "Playing from the classic NES Perspective really irritates me for some reason."


(Sorry this is late. I’ve been having major sleep issues, lately.)

With the Waluigi ARC come to a close, why not start with something new and… interesting? Well then, you’ll be interested in this ROM Ha— I mean Fan-Game of many proportions.

It’s pretty simplistic… when it comes to story. As Mario, your only job is to collect as many moons as you possibly can in order for you to make progress. It’s pretty difficult if you don’t mash the proper buttons, but it’s worth it if you’ve played “Super Mario Odyssey”, and have a pretty wide perspective on platforming. And trust me, this game really takes on the “NES Title” and makes it difficult for you to grasp (Almost like it’s in SUPER hard-mode.)

Nevertheless, this game gets a 6.8/10 for having fun mechanics, but a very lackluster level design that can personally mess you up if you fail to use these moves properly. And don’t even get me started on the camera perspective.
