Symmetra v1.1 – Phase Out, Shape Up!

Hello, rhythm warriors!

We’re back with the v1.1 update for Symmetra, our precision-based rhythm game of shapes, reflexes, and beat-matching chaos. What started as a small side project is slowly evolving—and thanks to your feedback, we’ve pushed things further with new levels, new challenges, and more ways to play. Let’s break it down!

🌀 New Feature: Phase Shapes

Introducing Phase Shapes, a new type of challenge that tests pure reflexes. These mysterious shapes fade into view just before impact, forcing you to adapt on the fly. They blend in with the beat and demand perfect reaction—not memorization.

🎼 3 New Levels Added

Three new levels join the lineup, including our first Extreme difficulty challenge:

  • Level 8: A smooth but deceptive Hard track that eases you into Phase Shape timing.

  • Level 9: A Very Hard fusion of Phase and Double shapes—don’t blink.

  • Level 10: Our Extreme debut. Full chaos. No mercy. Good luck.

Each level introduces new pacing, patterns, and rhythmic complexity. You’ll need both sharp instincts and mastery of all core mechanics to survive.

🧠 New Game Modifiers (Optional Rulesets)

Spice up your sessions or tone them down—Symmetra v1.1 introduces four modifier modes:

  • Normal – Standard gameplay experience.

  • Free Play – Everything unlocked, no pressure, infinite lives. Great for practice.

  • Six Lives – A fair challenge. Push through the levels with some safety net.

  • One Life – Hardcore mode. One mistake and it’s over. Reflexes or nothing.

Modifiers affect how Fractals are earned and add a ton of replay value!

🎮 New Features & Enhancements

  • 🎮 Gamepad/Controller Support: Fully integrated! Rotate with the right stick, morph with face buttons. It just feels right.

  • 🎵 Main Menu Music: No more silence! Enjoy a chill background track while browsing levels and settings.

  • 🏆 Remade Win Screen: The victory screen now feels way more satisfying—clean layout, better clarity, and results tracking. (We wanted to add particle bursts, but not just yet—maybe in v1.2!)

🌀 Fractals Expanded

Fractals are now your currency for progression. Earn them by clearing levels (based on difficulty + mode) and use them to unlock Levels 8–10. Higher risk, higher reward!

We’re also brainstorming more uses for Fractals—Let us know what you'd love to unlock.

👥 Made by Two Nerds and a Dream

  • Force Arcade – Concept, design, code, UI, and all the weird geometry stuff.

  • Hexxel – Composer and sound designer, still out here dropping bangers.

💬 We Want Your Feedback!

This project started as an experiment, but with every update, it’s growing. If you're enjoying Symmetra, or have thoughts about what you'd like to see next—drop us a message. Want boss levels? Custom shape sets? Fractal shop? We're listening.

Thanks for playing, and we’ll see you at the center of the beat. 🌀

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
