TFIL Discontinued

Hey people, bsfdk2 here.

We are unfortunately discontinuing The Floor Is Lava for various reasons as stated below.

We have decided to up our game and move on from Game Maker, even though it is an excellent and powerful program to develop games in, there are some features that get on our nerves for example; the collisions for TFIL took a very long time(about half the time of all the other tasks combined), 3D games are too tedious and limited for development(It only supports low geometric models and requires a lot of coding).

TFIL is only the small picture of what we can do and what we are willing to do. We are currently learning to use Unity 3D for both 2D and 3D game creation. Learning Unity also requires for us to learn a proper coding language, which will most likely be Javascript(Mainly because it is more universally recognised), so that will mean that games will take a long time to be developed and will not be up to todays standards of indie developers. Trust me, going from Game Maker Language(GML) to Javascript is a big leap for us, but this is beneficial for the future of Aviant Games.

For all the people who played TFIL, thank you for your support and expect more from us.

Lots of Love, Aviant Games

Runestones: from concept to in-game model๐Ÿ—ฟ

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6โ€ฆ).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
