So it's finally time for me to tell you all what the deal is in full. I'm quitting GameJolt. Yeah it's as straightforward as it can get. I'm doing this only because I have way too big of an ambition as an artist and a storyteller that, quite frankly I can't do on a platform mostly focused on videogames. I'm not making a videogame! Wild, I know. But seriously, I'm planning on migrating away from here by the time it's January. That means no more posts, no more Creator, no nothing. I'm going to be working from the shadows until I'm completely done with using the app itself. I already deleted the app from my desktop, I only have it on my phone now.
Nothing happened for me to choose to do this. I was just thinking. Thinking about how far I could realistically get here. The potential of staying here for my series to grow... Honestly isn't gonna pan out. And I can't continue to post here since I can only focus on so many platforms at a time. That's why I'm migrating full time to exclusively TUMBLR and TWITTER (partially). I know most of you are of a younger demographic, so you probably won't even dare to step out onto those platforms which is fine. I don't ask you to get a whole new app and account just to follow me. I'd probably end up forgotten and now you just have another app to linger about.
Thank you all for all of the endless support I've gotten over the last 4 years. From many people, artists, followers alike. Thank you, deeply. It's still funny how I wanted to change the game for Creators but just like... Ehhh... Making an impact like this isn't my thing. So yeah, lmao. But hey, I'm 18 now, I started GJ when I was 14, time flew and I improved a lot. I can definitely be proud that I got better as an artist on this platform.
Again, thank you all. I'm leaving soon, but I already know it won't be that big of a deal in the grander scale. I mean look at my current activity on posts, I'm hardly even pushing to the hundred likes mark.
I love you all, you witnessed my ups and downs. I'm not deleting this account, it'll forever be stapled with tape and glue to my google account. Thank you for a fun 4 years.
There's not much else left to be said. Expect me to leave the platform once the #GJArtober25 is finished for good (since I'm helping it) but I won't be posting anymore. I'll be stepping down from the creator position as well soon enough, and yeah. That's wraps.
From ya boy, Charlie_Dingbat
