Hello everyone!
It’s Friday again, but this time, it’s a little different. You’ve seen a lot of images up until now, some of which sparked quite interesting questions. The first and foremost is… what is the Academy? These guys (meaning Soulfire Entertainment) have been going on and on and on about the Academy, and how important it is, yadda yadday… but what. Is. It?
Well, in an attempt to not make you wait (too) long, here’s your answer:
=The Academy=
The Academy is one of the oldest educational institutes and places of learning in Erah. Its role is far more significant, however, as it also serves as a prime peacekeeping organization throughout all of Erah’s continents. Founded by none other than Calibur The Millenia Empress centuries before our current story takes place, for the purpose of upholding peace and order after the devastating Arch Wars. Legend has it that it was built around a mythical item, a relic of lost ages, but this legend has faded away and is widely forgotten to the present day.
As its primary purpose is keeping peace and order, the Academy operates by way of agents, who are exceptionally prepared culturally, intellectually, and in terms of fighting to be able to handle any conflict that may arise between the many strikingly different peoples and species in Erah. Upon gaining attendance, students are selected to join classes to which they are primarily suited, based on each student’s dominant characteristics and affinities. It is important to note, however, that these classifications do not entirely cover all aspects of a student’s personality, and are often decided not based on the current level of knowledge, but rather the potential the student in question shows.
A short description of the three classes below. The colors of each hall are represented in the color of the unifom the student wears.
The Red Hall - Members of this house exhibit an optimistic outlook on life and a love for nature. Some of them exhibit above-average fighting spirit with a strong sense of justice, while the more pacifistic ones often specialize in protecting and caring for fauna and flora. They make excellent protectors of sensitive territories and law-enforcement agents.
The Blue Hall - A symbol for mysticism, the members of this hall are highly intuitive and possess a keenness to untangle phenomena that could not be grasped by logic alone. They are often labelled pessimistic, but in truth, they are only far more sensitive than the average, delving in deep thoughts and emotions. After their training is complete, many of them oversee delicate religious and artistic matters.
The Green Hall - This house has the interesting trait of being bipolar, a sort of balancing force. Its members represent progress and scientific advancement on the one hand, and upholding tradition, solidifying social order on the other. They often turn out to be great leaders, individuals of political acumen, but also many of Erah’s greatest scientists come from this hall.
Some students, after they finish their scholarship, remain at the Academy as teachers or trainers. They can be distinguished (if not by age, many of them look quite young!) by the differing color of their own suits, which is, in most cases, black, grey, or white.
We hope that satisfies all your curiosity for now. There is more info to come later!
