The Alpha 0.3.3 update is here!

You can expect many improvements to visuals, expansions to the Car Upgrades System, and drastically improved overall handling, making the game much more fun.

An update for Sumo Cars 2 has been released!

Changes in version Alpha 0.3.3 include:

-----ADDITIONS-----

ADDITIONS - GAMEPLAY

• Expanded Upgrades System [Suspension Upgrades]

• Vehicle collision damage now adds speed difference into the equation

• Added new gameplay soundtrack

ADDITIONS - USER INTERFACE

• Added Control Map image to Options Menu

• Added scrollbars to Vehicle Selector

• Added new loading screen images

• Added mileage clock to speedometer gauge

ADDITIONS - MAPS

• Added extra barriers to Race map 'Umbra City'

ADDITIONS - VEHICLES

• Remastered model of 'Leopard'

• Added tire smoke and skid marks

• Added detail to model of 'Revenant'

• All lights now change material to a lit one if they are enabled

-----CHANGES-----

CHANGES - GAMEPLAY

• Removed handbrake from Sumo Mode

• Increased durability of cars

CHANGES - USER INTERFACE

• Changed the color of a few UI parts

• Fixed maths for calculating speed in km/h

• Removed automatic vehicle selecting upon entering Vehicle Selector

CHANGES - MAPS

• Improved AI paths for Race map 'Lunaris Circuit'

• Improved AI paths for Race map 'Umbra City'

CHANGES - VEHICLES

• Adjusted steering assistance speed thresholds for all vehicles

• Tweaked and improved handling of all vehicles

• Tweaked wheel positions for 'Leopard'

• Improved light flares' behaviour

• Brake Lights no longer light up when reversing

CHANGES - MISCELLANEOUS

• Improved font file to support extra characters (Thanks Bitowsky!)

-----FIXES-----

FIXES - GAMEPLAY

• Fixed an issue where tire grip calculations were sometimes incorrect

• Fixed an issue where a new track time always saved no matter if it was better than the previous one

• Fixed an issue where changing spectate target would often switch to the one already being spectated, thus not switching

FIXES - VEHICLES

• Fixed an issue where no vehicle upgrades would apply unless the vehicle was manually selected upon entering the Vehicle Selector

• Fixed an issue where no upgrades besides paint would be applied in-game for car 'Revenant'

FIXES - MISCELLANEOUS

• Replaced tribune models in main menu due to extremely poor performance (Double FPS boost!)

Good news!

Development is slowly resuming. We're now simply more busy than we used to be for years, so development will still likely be a little slower, but it's once again underway.

Madeline is the main protagonist of the mountain climbing platformer, Celeste. The game has been praised for its visuals, gameplay, and introspective narrative. The game's creator Maddy Thorson confirmed that Madeline is trans in 2020.

The project isn't dead! We know we sound like a broken record by now, but there's been difficulties in the real world stopping true progress.

However, progress IS being made. Have a screenshot of the new WIP map! :)
