Is Five-Nights A REAL TJoC Fangame?
Uhh… Yes and No…
Why that answer?
well, i first got the idea for Five-Nights thanks to Nikson’s first game (I think it was called FNaU) when i was playing around in the game and stared at the animatronics and wondered if you could get them to move. that’s when i installed unreal engine and played around with the bases, but i didn’t work on anything because i had no idea how to use it.
when TJoC:R was made, i knew i could make the game, but i still had no idea for the design. i was watching someone playing TJoC:R, then got the idea for Scrappile (or scrapped freddy as all of you call him). after that, i used scrappile’s design as a base for all the other characters, but having pics of the TJoC characters to make sure i don’t make them look too much like eachother.
i even had a change of level design. my original idea was going to have different levels with different controls or something of the sort, but after a while of failing to make bonnie’s map, i just decided to go ahead and make all the characters on the same map instead. it was a little bit harder, but i got it figured out.
before i even started work on Five-Nights, i was playing around with Chase & Roam AI after watching a tutorial. i used a third person base and edited the map and even added a few roaming “Unreal Engine Dummies” that would chase you on sight. it was fun for me to make those little things at the time.
even though i try my best to make sure this game isn’t an EXACT copy of TJoC, there are still people who call it a TJoC fangame because it uses unreal engine and is a freeroam. even though it was thanks to Nikson that i found out i could use unreal to make games, i never intended to make a game that looks a lot like TJoC:R
but most of all, my favorite part about making this game is that i’m so glad so many people liked it. i expected way more people to say how Five Nights is a TJoC:R fangame than i seen so far.
and regarding the update (if you read this far into the DevLog) my friend who was supposed to package the game’s computer has broken and they can’t Package the game for release. at least for a while, so the Scrapped-Foxy update will take a little bit longer than expected to release.
