If you didn't know, the game is back in development, and since it's making good progress, I decided to write this devlog. I think this will be the only devlog for this game. Remember, this is a one-night game.
Let's get started
First, the most important thing in this game:
The gameplay
It’s 80% complete. The AI for Madison, Seth, and James Bear is finished and works perfectly. The only thing left is Michael’s AI, which might take me a while since this animatronic can be avoided in four different ways. He’ll be the main threat, and if you felt the cameras were useless in the demo, it’s because Michael wasn’t moving. The cameras will be very useful for avoiding him.
And now I’d like to talk about this detector

I’m sure some of you are wondering what it’s for.Well, here’s the explanation. This contains spoilers, so if you don’t want to know, just skip this part.
That detector is used to tell if the animatronic has a spirit inside it or not. Green means it’s just the animatronic; red means a spirit is controlling it.
It’s necessary to know this because you’ll have to avoid it differently depending on whether the animatronic is haunted or not. This will only apply to Seth and Michael.
You could say this is the most unique/“original” mechanic in the game; I haven’t seen any other game use this idea before.
I got the idea from that scene with the ghost hunters in the FNAF 2 movie, that’s where this idea came from.

There are other changes I’m making, like adding numbers to the cameras

and re-rendering the animations with motion blur to make them look smoother (luckily I saved all the animations, hehe) All the jump scare animations are now finished

Story
It’s finished, and I have a plan for how to tell it. This one focuses more on spirits; part of the story was inspired by the movie *Poltergeist*

There are only two scenes: one is the ending, and the other explains why the place is haunted. I’ll be looking for voice actors for the in-game call where the guard talks to someone in real time.
A WIP of the extras

Yeah, it looks way too dark, I think I went overboard with the lighting lol. I tried turning up the contrast, but it looked bad that way...
But don't worry, when the game comes out, I'll post the full-color character renders right here on Gamejolt, so you can get a better look at the animatronics' designs in more detail
Well, that’s all for this first and possibly only devlog for this game.
The game is 50% complete; it will likely be released in a few weeks, provided I’m not too busy and manage to finish the voice acting on time.
Thank you so much to my 123 followers and for all the great support this game has received. It makes me happy to see that the demo was so well-received; I really appreciate it
