The Basics


Hello everyone, this is just going to be a quick basic feed for what Universum 2 is all about.

The idea to re-create the game into a new standalone was due to having too much code jumbled up and not knowing where anything was (because it was a jam game) so I thought it would be a lot better to start from ground up and organise everything much neater.
So that’s what I have done here, and not only has that helped my brain but it’s made the game a lot smoother and fluid.
I’m going to start of a graphics overhaul next so stay tuned for that in the next news feed.

Just a Pico sprite

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
