The Bottomless Shaft incident is the most known incident in Epsilon's history, when the 14 year old Layla Geneviève fell down the 5860m deep elevator shaft to the abandoned Delta Complex after the support rods holding the ground above it broke due to low maintenance and the strong vibration of the trains passing by.

-On the day of 15th of May 2018 at 12;45 AM, the Metro Class 0086 arrives at the "Marie Curie" station in Sector 2. The train was carrying roughly 130 passengers including Layla which was visiting her sister at the time.

-Shortly after, as the train was preparing to departure, the platform collapsed dragging Layla into the elevator shaft and damaging the tracks and the train.

-At 12;50 AM, Code Red was activated in Sector 2

-12;51 to 13;06: It took 15 min for Layla to reach the bottom of the shaft. At 3600m she passed out due to the high G-Forces and after reaching the bottom, she remained unconscious for almost half an hour. Her luck was that the bottom of the shaft was covered in the High Impact Protection Gel(HIPG) that absorbed her fall.
