Hello everyone! The latest major update to the demo has been released, which contains several major changes as well as miscellaneous bug fixes.
A complete changelog for this update can be found at the bottom of this post, but here is a summary.
As you might have noticed, several features in the Bubby care portions of the demo are either nonfunctional or are simply forgotten over time, such as the naming of your Bubby. This new update brings full memory and functionality to all of these features, as well as adding a few more.
Your Bubby's name will now be remembered between play sessions, alongside how hungry your bubby is, and how much money you have (Meaning no escaping your money issues!). even more important, is that the game can now act as a real virtual pet for the first half of the game. Your Bubby will grow hungry even if left in the background or shut down, so you can treat the game like a true virtual pet if that's all you want from it (Though we all know that's not why you're here).
The Foodmart has been completely redone, now becoming a much more interactive and (dare I say) adorable activity rather than just interacting with a static menu, earning it the happy music it plays!
In the theme of food updates, you can now watch your Bubby munch on food! Also added to the My Bubby screen is the new ability to pet your Bubby, aww!
Aside from bonding, you can also pet your hungry hungry Bubby to pacify him for a bit to get some coins to buy food!
Besides from the Bubby Care section, several new secrets and areas have been added to the main portions of the game, as well as the ability to pause the game. Additionally, your bubby now continues to grow hungry at a much slower rate as you play the game, and you are able to return to the Bubby Care screen to feed and play with your bubby whenever you like.
Also, say hello to the soda machine!
You can spend 100 coins to buy a soda, which increases your movement speed for 10 minutes. Additionally, you can now go fullscreen whenever you want!
There are quite a few more changes, a lot of which can be found in the changelog below, but these are the most major changes.
