The CJ Collection v0.5.4 + CJ The Game 3 v0.4.0 Update!


EDIT: A patch was released to fix a crash in CJ The Game 3.

This patch contains a content update for CJ The Game 3.

I am now 50% done with the content in CJ The Game 3! Woo! There's still some things I need to polish up on but we are getting closer to a final build than ever... except for the things I still want to do to the other games (CJ 1 & 2) that I have been putting off.

CJ The Game 3 (v0.4.0)

  • Overhauled the title screen to look closer to the originals

  • Added custom skin support! No more directly modifying the game's data files to add a new skin!

    • This is still a early version of the skin system. I probably won't remove anything but I will be expanding it more as I work on more of the game.

    • Alberkirty, Sweetheart, and Steve (CJ's Little brother) are now loaded from the Custom Skins folder.

  • Saving and loading now works.

  • World 4 (The Fortress) is here!

    • Adds 4 new levels and a boss.

  • Made the players hitbox smaller by 2 pixels to fix some 2 tile wide gaps.

  • Added missing dialog to the intro cutscene.

  • Parity change: Jump height from stomping on enemies is NOT the same as the normal jump height.

  • Added even more missing sound effects

  • Some other bug fixes that I didn't keep track of, sorry.

The CJ Collection (v0.5.4)

  • Updated the bundled version of CJ The Game 3 to v0.4.0

Redrawn vs Classic Title Screen artwork (still work in progress, might redraw the arm because it looks weird...)

next update will be a bit, redrawing every asset in CJ1 and CJ2 (old textures will still be an option dw)

2 AM motivation strikes again, and made me complete all the content for CJ The Game 1! Still need to redraw most assets however...

A patch has been released to fix compatibility with Windows 7. You will need to download both the new main release, and the Windows 7 patched executable.
