As a extra challenge you have a command center, and your orders need to go all the way to the soldiers, in other words the further your guys are from the HQ the greater the order execution delay will be, so if for instance I send my soldiers to an unknown zone and their comms guy get killed then they become unresponsive and will assume a defensive instance or continue with their last orders depending on the units and their commander’s morale, if this happens you must send someone to get them out or send a reconnaissance plane/squad to find out if they are alive or not.
