Lightgun Mode
The lightgun mode included in this demo is very early work in progress and is there for those who want to test out how well their lightguns work before the official release of this mode. Only the Sinden Lightgun has been tested so I can't guarantee support for all lightguns. Lightgun mode works but turning the gun and crosshair invisible for the player and changes the mouse to use your systems mouse input settings. Lighgun mode is compatible with online multiplayer so mouse and gun users can play together.
To play with the lightgun mode, go to the settings page either in the menu or in-game, click on the gameplay tab and select lightgun mode.
New Damage Model
The damage model has been reworked to add more depth to the gameplay. Previously, enemies all shared the same base health with headshots doing x2 the damage and limbs breaking off when the enemy was under 50% health.
The new model separates the body into 3 areas; head, torso and limbs. Headshots still do 2x damage with torso shots doing x1 damage and limb shots doing 0.5x damage. Torso and limbs shots still share the same score payout with headshots paying out double the score.
Level 2 Release
Level 2 is still coming to the demo despite the Kickstarter and Steam releases and is currently on track for a September release. It's taken a lot longer than I hoped as a lot of gameplay systems needed attention along with the creation of new enemy types, branching paths, civilian rescue events, flying enemies and bosses. It's also twice as long as level 1 and includes 2 routes to choose from and a boss fight.
Kickstarter
The Kickstarter campaign still has 9 days to go. Backing the game can get you access to the alpha builds on Steam once level 3 is completed, which is currently aimed for December. Once released, the Itch.io and Gamejolt versions will not receive any more content updates and will be kept as demo versions of the game.
