The early-November renovations post:

Greetings, everyone.

Maaaan these past two months have been crazy. A LOT of stuff has happened, like, a lot. I'll try my best to summarize everything as neatly as I can.

We've introduced a very special member to the development team and has his mind fully aimed to publishing the game, and he has done SO much for the project, he's basically my Right Hand Man (we've been managing this game together ever since his arrival). I'm telling you all this because he has been the main culprit behind the following changes we believe are a step in the right direction. As always, any and all suggestions are appreciated!

_________________Complete Story Re-write______________

Yeah, that one post from July/August is a lie.
The story has been almost entirely changed. It'll be posted on the description sometime soon, but it goes something like this:
An unnamed young man (you, the player) desperately needs financial stability, when suddenly, you receive a letter from an anonymous sender, offering you a great salary as an "animatronic investigator" for its company. You arrive at the building with your fellow coworkers and get to investigating those animatronics. Everything goes smoothly, but the higher-up has some different plans in store for all of you.

We can't say what those plans are right now: it'll ruin the fun of the mystery. All we can tell you is that they're not pretty.

_____________________Engine switch_____________________
The game will be coded in GameMaker Studio. This is a wonderful change that is undoubtedly a straight upgrade from the previous engine. However, I have little to no experience with GameMaker, so it'll take a while before you guys can witness gameplay screenshots (I'm trying my best, sorry).

___________________General Gameplay___________________

The game will still have that Lobotomy-esque gameplay-loop but with some notable differences:
1.- The "conversation" phase: you'll be free to talk to any of your coworkers (if they're available) and get to know them better! It'll work similarly to the Free Time phase of the Danganronpa games.
2.- The "pick your poison" phase: you'll be forced to choose one of three secret doors each day with a vague prompt detailing what foe lies behind them. It has not received any changes prior to the new dev's arrival, so it'll still work the same as the one in Lobotomy Corporation.
3.- The "workshift" phase: this is where the main gameplay takes part. You'll have to work on the animatronics you've selected during previous' and today's selections in order to reach the daily quota. Every robot is a tough critter, so make sure you don't mess up with their preferences. If you DO mess up, don't panic yet, you still have your trusty monitor and doors by your side to fend them off. And don't worry about wasting power: you have an unlimited supply! If you make sure to give the equipment some rest and prevent them from overheating, you'll be golden!

So that wraps up the entire month of October and 2/15ths of November (this was actually posted on the Discord like 1 month ago, it's just that I am lazy and didn't feel like writing all of this before)! Let us know your opinions about this and we'll take them into consideration.

Until someday,
-Cinta

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
