Many months ago, my main laptop’s processor died. The files still exist but I can’t access them.
Then, my backup laptop’s hard-drive died 3 months later. I was an idiot to not use SD Cards and Flash Drives as backups.
Now I’m using a Windows XP (and while I love XP, this is a 32-bit XP… ugh) and I have an SD card plugged into my laptop 24/7 to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again. I’ve been rebuilding Supra Smash Bross from scratch (no, not the terrible Scratch.mit site).
Now, as I’m redoing it from scratch and not just using someone else’s engine and heavily modifying it, I have a lot more control over what to do with this one. The code is faster and much more optimized, and the sprites are looking a lot better. Thankfully, due to Sechizen/Shyouzen and Bungo/Bingo not being my characters, I was able to contact Zerodius and Plom510 to regain the sprites, effectively rebuilding their characters. I was also lucky to find a few sprites on my Google Plus page, so Myrio was able to return with an entirely new moveset, and veterans aside from Spade have their original character select icons. Myrio was double-lucky, as I was able to retain his mugshot as well!
Smashed and Boiled is Supra Smash Bross’ spiritual successor. So far, it features:
-7 characters (one unlockable, you probably already know who)
-4 stages (Scatman’s World and Green Flower from the original return, along with two new stages)
-Tap Jump can now be switched on/off due to the new engine, allowing you to be able to play with a controller easier
While there isn’t much content yet, I promise more is on the way!
PLEASE NOTE: If the game DOES NOT save on Windows 7, notify me IMMEDIATELY.
Please Understand, I am doing the best I can. Thank you.
