Yup, you read the title perfectly, the FNaF lore sucks shit, and it's all because of two issues: severly dragged storyline and lore that is kept a huge secret from everybody. Of course Scott isn't going to baby-feed us all of the lore (he stated the books are the key to solving it) but it's also not like he's gonna keep it a secret and drag the story as much as possible until we finally figure out what the story is truly about. There's a problem with a bunch of media where the plotline drags so much to the point that the creator forgets what the story was even about. Back then, it was the story of Michael Afton having a huge regret for killing his own brother and as an adult going on a journey to "come find" (aka kill) his father with the help of Henry Emily, his father's "friend". Now? Oh, now we have fucking Mimic, an AI who had the most 2018 gacha backstory. See what I mean?
