I’ve gotten notice that the UI for Cross/Me is either incredibly confusing, or just too plain to the point of being misunderstand-able. Therefore, the next few updates for the game will be more focused on fixing and optimizing the UI. The last update - the one I uploaded yesterday - introduced some major changes, mostly to the character select screen. Change notes for yesterday’s update are below:
VERSION 0.0.2.5
= Made multiple edits to the UI= Fixed a bug where the character select screen would move if the player jumped while selecting the character they wanted.
= Everything on the character select screen now freezes when the game is closing.
= Switching between rooms has been disabled in all scenarios when the game is closing.
= Removing characters on the character select screen now only takes 0.83 seconds (previously 1.66 seconds)
= Going back to the menus from the character select screen now only takes 1.33 seconds (previously 1.66 seconds)
= Going to the Powers menu before selecting a character is no longer required.
= The Cancel button on the Powers menu has been replaced with a Reset button that sets the Powers back to default and does not go back to the main character display.
= Powers are no longer set back to default after you have changed them when you reenter the Powers menu.
= Most menu buttons now change colors when hovered over.
And, something completely unrelated to UI:
= Increased the Soul Orb’s normal speed to 360 pixels/second (previously 240 pixels/second) and increased its sprint speed to 600 pixels/second (previously 480 pixels/second).
Boom. This is the first of many UI updates for Cross/Me. Stay tuned! And keep on criticizing!
