I realize I haven't even posted any footage so here's a comparison video I made months ago showing the old version of the game on Snap! vs the one I'm working on now.
Lighting has been added to the game, and along with it 6 different ambient light level options.
A gun upgrade has been added. Once you kill 10 enemies with it, you will unlock a previously inaccessible heart slot. (3 max) I found that the very late game became a bit too hectic (not shown here) so I decided to add portals. They have their own timer.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
