The Game Theorist's latest FNaF short was fine, BUT...

So, TGT made a short regarding the upcoming FNaF book "The week before". If the title isn't obvious enough, it's a book that takes place a week before the events of FNaF 1 about a nightguard trying to survive the pizzeria. If it's a week before FNaF 1, then that MUST mean that the nightguard is actually Phone Guy, since he's worked before Michael, according to his voiceline below.

"I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now as a matter of fact. See you on the flipside."

At first it seemed like nothing, until Tom (the brand new host) says that Phone Guy is Afton. The only proof he has is this line from the movie:

"I will catch you on the flipside, hopefully..."

But there is two things he got wrong:

  1. He used information from the MOVIE. Not the games and even other book series such as Fazbear Frights and Tales of the Pizzaplex (Scott confirmed they're the key to solving the lore). As far as I'm aware, the game and movie continuity are separate from each other.

  2. Scott actually debunked the "Phone Guy is the killer" theory. During the announcement of the FNaF 4 Halloween update, he explained how MatPat got everything right in his latest FNaF 2 theory video. After that, someone made a post saying "So Phone Guy is the killer?" and Scott replied with the comment "*Almost everything right".

So, dear Tom, even though you're the new host of The Game Theorist channel, this sure was a big dumb flop.

But what do you guys think? Is there anything I got wrong or missed? Comment down below.
